My Room Mate ~

She is a girl from Sabah. She comes from a mixed parentage of Chinese and Kadazan. Her name is Fiona Lai Yen Tze. She was born  on 13th December 1993. She lives in Kenigau, Sabah. She has got for brothers whom she loves so much. She is very pretty and has good sense of joke. This is the first time I'm having a room mate because since I was young I stayed at home and I never entered any boarding school before. I'm very grateful for having her as my room mate. She can keep me laughing the whole day. Fiona is also very friendly. She doesn't judge anyone by their appearance. If the person has a very bad character she would advise them instead of avoiding them.

Pretty and cute !

Fiona with her favourite hamster, Patrick

Fiona is a fan of Spongebob Squarepants. She loves it because she says he looks very cute. Besides that, Fiona loves to go shopping, surf the internet and get to know about the latest news. Fiona is a die-hard fan of Manchester United. She watches all their games and screams very loud whenever they score a goal. Oh, don't bother getting her number because she is already taken! :)
She hates thunders, maths, rats and back-stabbers.

That's all about her for now~
Thanks for reading!

A Place to Go ? Australia !

There are many interesting places that one can visit. Different places have different specialty. Every place has got its own uniqueness. Before planning on where you would like to go, you should be able to determine what kind of place you want to visit. For me, I prefer a place which has got good scenery and more nature than buildings. Since I was young, I've always wanted to go to Perth, Australia. When I was 14, I got an extremely amazing gift from my parents that is a holiday to Australia but it wasn't to Perth but instead they said that I would be going to Melbourne. That didn't really matter to me as I was very grateful to my parents for giving me this lovely gift. The reason why I've badly wanted to go to Australia is because I've cousins living there and they always say that there are many beautiful places to visit there. They even showed me photographs. After taking a look at some of the photographs, I was totally in love with this place called Perth. Melbourne was no different from Perth. I went to Melbourne on 29th November 2007 and my parents said that I would be going there with my relative. I was also told that I would be there for one month. When I stepped into the Melbourne airport after stepping out of the plane, I really felt so happy and excited. Then when I saw Melbourne for the very first time I was thinking to myself: "Am I really in Australia or is this just a dream?". I took the full opportunity to look what's on my right and left throughout the journey to my cousin's house. I noticed that there were many farms in Australia. on the farms, there were cows, sheep and goats.

One of the farms in Melbourne

Next, I would like to share with you the places I've visited there. Enjoy Reading everyone!

1. Melbourne Aquarium

You would love this place as it's quite similar to the Langkawi Underwater World except that the one in Melbourne is bigger than the one in Langkawi. There you can find different species of the underwater world.
There you can see sharks, penguins, stingrays, turtle and there are also many fun activities that could be done if you go there. The latest news that I got is that there is a new resident at the Melbourne Aquarium that is a 200kg Giant Grouper. Oh! I really wish I could see it right now.

Above: The structure of the building from outside
Below: Me and My Cousin (I look extremely weird in this pic...LOL)

2. Sovereign Hill, Ballarat
Sovereign Hill is an open air museum in Golden Point, a suburb of BallaratVictoriaAustralia. Sovereign Hill depicts Ballarat's first ten years after the discovery of gold there in 1851.  It is one of Victoria's most popular attractions and Ballarat's most famous attraction. I seriously can't forget my experience there !! I totally love it. I felt like I was living in the olden time. It's totally worth it. The site comprises over 60 historically recreated buildings, with costumed staff and volunteers, who are able to answer questions and will pose for photos. The recreation is completed with antiques, artwork, books and papers, machinery, livestock and animals, carriages and devices all appropriate to the era. I spent my whole day there. I didn't have the heart to leave the place as I really loved it and wish to learn more about the place.

My Cousins and I posing for photo with a costumed staff.

3. Orbost

Orbost is a town situated in Victoria, Australia. Its also situated 375 km east of Melbourne.  It's a very beautiful town filled with nature. Before going to Orbost, you should stop by at Lakes Entrance. You won't regret. Trust me! Lakes Entrance is a tourist resort and fishing port. You can stand at the side of a road and look at the beautiful scenery of Lakes Entrance. In Orbost, you can go for horse rides and just walk around. These would be the two best things to do there. It is a good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The motel that we stayed. Totally comfortable and lovely.

I also went for horse ride.

The view of Lakes Entrance from the highest point.

4. The Yarra River

The Yarra River is surrounded by tall buildings. The water is so clear and clean that I felt like swimming there but of course no one is allowed to swim there because the water is very deep. While walking across the bridge, you can enjoy the scenery. While I was walking along the bridge, I also noticed there are flags of all the countries there. The Malaysian flag is also one of them of course. I was so proud to see my country's flag high up.

The Yarra River, Melbourne

There are also other places that I visited there but for now these are the best among the others. I hoped you really like it. You should put Melbourne in your must-visit-place. Trust me and you won't regret. I truly enjoyed my trip there and wish I can visit Melbourne again.

That's all from me. Thanks for reading and have a good day.

+Ch0CLAtE MuDCAKE+

When I was 14 years old, I went to Australia for holiday. There I went to my relatives house and they baked me and my family a nice hot and delicious chocolate mud cake. I really felt like eating the whole thing up the moment I saw it. When I started eating it, I was over the moon. It tastes so good that I fell in love with it. So I've decided to share the mud cake recipe with all of you. You can try it and fall in love with it like I did!

Ingredients:

2 cups white sugar
1 1/2 cups butter, softened
1 1/3 cups flaked coconut
4 eggs
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
12 ounces marshmallow creme
3 3/4 cups confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons evaporated milk

Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease one 13x9 inch baking pan.
Cream together 1/3 cup of the cocoa, white sugar, and 1 cup of the butter or margarine until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, and 1 teaspoon of the vanilla and beat well.
Mix flour, baking powder, coconut, and chopped pecans together. Stir flour mixture into the egg mixture and stir until just combined. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 to 50 minutes. Smooth marshmallow cream over top of cake while still hot. Let cake cool completely then ice with chocolate icing.
To Make Chocolate Icing: Beat together the confectioner's sugar, the remaining 1/3 cup cocoa, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/2 cup butter or margarine. Continue to beat and add enough evaporated milk to make icing spread on cake.

Now the recipe is ready to be served. Enjoy! <3

Thanks to Amy for sharing this great recipe :)

Chinese New Year at Kirkby International College

Since coming to Kirkby, there were many events held. For example, Merdeka Raya event, Deepavali event, Chinese New Year event also also the Sports Day. These events were held so that students would get to learn more about other cultures and races. It was also to build the bond between students and make students to think more creatively. I took part in all the events held without fail. The event that I really enjoyed the most is the Chinese New Year event because I enjoyed myself to the max. For this event, there were many games and competition organised by the Chinese students. The game that I liked the most was creating a Chinese New Year card and decorating the class according to the theme. My class won first prize for both the events. Well, can I say it's because of teamwork and cooperation? Certainly! Even I fell in love with my class because it was so beautiful when it was decorated with lots of red stuffs. My friend also added fragrance to make the judges feel happy and peaceful when they enter my class.

This was how my class looked like at the end.

Fake red flowers and fireworks to create the Chinese New Year feeling.

I really enjoyed that day. So, from a scale of 1 to 10, what would you rate my class?  The moments spent with them were awesome.
There were also games held and my class won the overall competition.
The games held were Peeling and Eating the Oranges, Chinese New Year general knowledge Quiz, creating a Chinese Lantern, Fashion Design and Best Chinese Calligraphy. I was totally proud of my class when one of the students announced that A4(Shelley) is the winner!

! Something About Me !

Name: Stephanie Nyssa Gomez
Date of Birth: 26th November 1993
Place of Birth: Seremban, Negeri Sembilan
Hobby: Dancing, Surfing the Internet, Reading Novels, Listening to Music and Exploring New Things
Ambition: Psychiatrist (but eventually landed into teaching field)

Okay, now I'm going to go into more detailed story about me!

I studied my Kindergarten and Primary school in Sepang, Selangor. When I was young I stayed in a village. My house was just behind the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). If you stay in my house, you can see airplanes every 3 minutes (timing according to my dad). i really enjoyed my childhood there because I play games that I can't play if I stay in a town area. I used to climb hills, ride bicycle in the center of the road, play hide-and-seek in the jungles. It was totally safe back then. I loved to help my mum do gardening when I was young because there was a big land space in front of my house. My brother usually brought his friends to play football there as the land was as big as a football field in primary schools. My mum has a green finger, which I really adore and wish to have. I've planted a papaya tree there before and the tree grew very big and bore a lot of fruits. I was so happy. Since I used to stay in a village last time, coming face to face with snakes and dangerous insects are normal for me. They are always there no matter where you go. The ones I hate the most are spiders. Once I saw a spider egg hatch and that was the day I really didn't like it. There were millions and billions of them in the egg. Arggggghhh! It was totally creepy! As a naughty child, its no wonder I have lots of scars on both my knees.

I had a lot of best friends when I was in primary school. They are Vivithirah, Nur Farah Anis, Muhammad Adzlan, Monisha, Lavanian, Fatin, Binazir, Geetha, Buwanah and more. There were all so kind and nice to me. There are many happy memories in that school. My teachers said that my school used to be the battle ground during the war when the Japanese came to Malaysia. Interesting but creepy. My friends said that our school toilet was haunted. Hahahaha,,,no one knows the truth tough.
My high school was also the best! More friends and most important of all they could be trusted. We used to study together after class hours and also attend the same tuition. They helped me when I'm in trouble and cheer me up when I sad. When we get together, we do all the crazy things in the world. I really love all of them. They will always remain in my heart.

Okay I look kind of weird here :D (From left: Darshini, ME, Preetini and Jey) They were always there when I'm sad and happy. Love and miss them sooo much!

Her name is Safira Soffian. The sweetest girl.

(From left: Aqilah, Amirah, Nadia, ME, Safira) My other friend Zafirah is not in this picture. I love all this people because they can make me laugh till my stomach burst and my eyes filled with tears.

(From left: Jananie and Prasana) This two are sisters in crime. Always there to bully me and make me laugh. They also helped me in studies.

Another person, Kamal,  he can me laugh the whole day with his jokes. My best friend too.

Sorry if your picture is not here. Its either I don't have it or it looks blur.No matter what you are all the same to me. Its just that different people effect me in different parts of my life.

Next is my life in National Service. That is the place I REALLY LOVE AND ENJOYED THE MOST. I went to National Service on 16th May 2011. I was totally nervous the first day. I really taught my life is gone. There we stayed in dorms, do rough activities and follow timetables. Our dorms are big and spacious. There were 16 of us in a dorm. I really love all my dorm mates. In national service, there were many kinds of people. Malays, Chinese, Indians, Sabahan and Sarawakian. We did lots of rough activities such as kayaking, marching, outdoor games, shooting and more. I soon got darker and darker no matter how much of sunblock I apply on my body. TIMETABLES SHOULD BE FOLLOWED AT ALL TIMES, if you don't want to get into trouble. If you don't follow the timetable, you could get punished. Examples of punishment are running around the assembly site for 10 times or more, push-ups or singing in front of everyone. Embarrassing? Of course. Overall, I think NATIONAL SERVICE should be made compulsory for all because it's the best experience for a teenager on how to be disciplined.

My lovely+crazy dorm mates. At night, this dorm becomes the nosiest of all. We love each other very much!

The two person I share my secrets with at National Service. The one on the left is from Sabah while the one on the right is from Sarawak.

We always play games together and sing songs in this class.

My favourite teacher from National Service, Miss Ika.

Winnie and Audrey are crazy but funny!

BEST BUDDIES forever <3

Leaz and Chong Maey Yee <3

On the way to meet the Prime Minister.

I really love National Service and I wish I can go again !!

That's all about me for now. Bye and thanks a lot for reading about me.

My Favourite Artist ?

Everyone has got their very own favourite artist right? It's impossible not to have one as there are many talented, elegant, well-known and respected artists around the world. Well my favourite artist is well known, talented and not to forget handsome! He is one of the casts from the Twilight movies. When he was young he acted in a movie called The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl. He played the main role in that movie. Now you would've guessed who my famous artist is. It's none other than Taylor Lautner. There are many reasons why is my favourite actor. The reasons are because he is talented and of course not like any other actor and actress.

Taylor Lautner was born on 11th February 1192. He started his acting career at the age of 9 years old. His first movie was Shadow Fury where he played a minor role in it. It was because of his talent he got to act in the movie Twilight. When the directors were going to film the Twilight: New Moon they wanted to recast the role of Jacob Black because they said that Taylor Lautner wasn't fit for it. But guess what Taylor did in order to win the directors hearts? He weight-rained extensively and gained approximately 30 pounds of muscle. I was totally impressed! He didn't give up but instead he did his best with confidence in order to achieve success. Another thing that I really like about him is that he is drug and alcohol free. While all the other actors and actresses are getting high on drugs and drunk on alcohols, he doesn't take any of these. That's something to look up to. It doesn't mean if you are famous you have to take drugs and alcohols or  even if you are having problems. There is always a way out to every problems in life! These are the reasons why he  have always been my favourite actor. <3

Shellianz ~Slow and Steady

Shellianz the BEST FOREVER

~My class video~

Hello everyone ! This would be my second post. So, now I want to share about my classmates from the college i'm currently studying in that is Kirkby International College. My class's name is A4(Shelley) named after a famous poet. I was totally nervous when I was told that my class would be A4 because I didn't really know how my classmates would be and how they would treat me. The first semester I was quiet and "obedient" because I wasn't close to any of my classmates yet. I would just sit all by myself and surf the internet while the others would be joking and playing around. Time after time I observed  and get to know everybody's character. Everyone was so sporting and most important of all FUNNY. Here I would like to confess something. I used to have some problems of my own and when I enter my class, all my problems would fly away because there would be at least one person that would crack joke every second. I really fell in love with this class. I really love the part where all of us would do assignments together and watch movies together. Totally wonderful. My classmates are not racists nor show favoritism. They are unique in a special way to me. Honestly, I totally love all my classmates. YOU ARE THE BEST SHELLIANZ ! In my heart forever and ever.... <3

~My First Time~

This is my first time creating a blog. I've seen my friends create blog and manage it but this is the first time I'm handling my very OWN blog. I took about one hour just to decide on my blog's name and also the URL. My friends kept making fun of me because I was taking a long time on deciding a name. One of my friend even said that its so hard to choose a name. Its like we are choosing a name for a new born baby. That was totally TRUE! The more and more I venture into this "blogging" activity, I find it very interesting even though I easily get lost. Its challenging too because you have to keep yourself updated. You certainly don't want to see an old, lame and boring blog spot. So I had to find ways to make my blog more interesting. I'm certainly not done yet with decorating my blog and making it even more merrier. So just wait and I'll catch up as soon as possible. Please follow me to. Thank you so much everyone ! :D
